The Kabini River which flows through Wayanad is the main area where you can quench your thirst for river rafting. There are many places along the river where you can embark a trip from. Forests, swamps, islands and occasional countryside and residences come by your way on a rafting trip.

2. Kondaji , Davanagere

Kondaji is situated near Davangere and is about 261 kms from Bangalore. This is a gifted place for Adventure Sports Lovers. Here there are lake with hills and forest as back drop. Here The General Thimmayya National Academy of Adventure and Department of Youth Services Sports, Government of Karnataka have offered a Kayaking, Coracle ride and surfing sport.

3. Barapole, Coorg

Barapole is the least known of Karnataka’s white water rafting destinations. This stretch of river has more than nine Class 2‑Class 4 rapids. Barapole is set on the banks of the Kithu Kakathu River in Coorg.The river is a turbulent one all along its route as it flows through the Brahmagiri hills to the Arabian Sea via Kerala. Barapole is approximately 270 km from Bangalore by road.

4. Sitanadi, Agumbe

Sita Nadi, located near Agumbe in the Shimoga district of Karnataka is must-visit for adventure seekers. Sita Nadi i.e. Sita River flows for approximately 60kms before meeting the Arabian Sea towards the west. Agumbe is a small tropical town, nestled in the Western Ghats, which has been given the sobriquet of 'Cherrapunji of the South' because it receives a very high amount of rainfall. This has made the region rich in natural beauty and one can expect to find beautiful, verdant forests and spectacular waterfalls here in the right season. The river is at its best during the monsoons, swelling to its fullest and visitors can enjoy tempestuous rapids. The rafters can chose between different rapids on Sita Nadi.

5. Dandeli

Dandeli at the northern tip of Karnataka and just off Goa is one of the best centres for watersports especially White Water Rafting. Due to periodic release of water from the hydroelectric project, rafting is assured right till end-may however it has to be coincided with the water release. The Kali River (Which flows through the area) offers a great opportunity to paddle through numerous, exciting technical class 3 rapids. The beautiful surroundings are home to a wide range of wildlife, including a flourishing bird life, in particular several species of very rare Hornbills. 

6. Marawanthe, Karwar

During the rains, if you stand on the NH 17 highway, you can be one with the rowdy waves of the Arabian Sea, the consistent hard rain and the fat flowing Sowparnika river all in one single flow. This is one of those places where you can park your car and enjoy bountiful water from all sides. 

7. Sharavati, Honnemardu

The Sharavathi River, rising at Ambuthirtha in Thirthahalli taluk flows north-west and drops down in the Ghats at the world famous Jog falls. The sharavathi Valley is home for many water falls and to some of the beautiful streams. The valley is evergreen to semi-evergreen forest along with moist deciduous type of forests dominate the entire basin along with scrub savannah, grasslands, marshy areas and plantation of acacia, cash crops like areca and rubber. The jungles of the Sharavathi Valley is an ideal place for treks and nature trails and the Sharavathi backwaters provides ample oppertunities for water activities.

8. Bheemashwari

Meandering through the woody landscape amidst the forests of Karnataka is the Cauvery, the most majestic and sacred river of South India. The river offers opportunity to both adventure and nature lovers. Nestled along this beautiful river is the Bheemeshwari Fishing & Nature Camp, world renowned as home to the great "Mahseer” the finest and one of the largest fresh water sport fish known to man. Tucked away from the milling crowds, yet close enough for you to reach. This camp offers a slice of nature that is charming and picturesque.
